My quilter's corner

Or, more often referred to as my girl cave.  It is a small bedroom, only about 8' x 11'.  But it is in the southwest corner of the house, so it has wonderful light.  I love having my own space where I can keep the ironing board up all the time.  I have an old desk as a cutting table, and a great little sewing machine table.

I hand quilt.  I have a floor frame which I can set up here.  But, I usually prefer to use a hoop, so my quilting can move around the house.  I actually do most of my quilting in our family room, where I use a small tv table to support my hoop.

The dress form is a J. R. Bauman, model 1954.  Shortly after we moved into this house, the woman in the duplex next door moved out.  She left a pile of stuff at the curb, including this dress form.  I could not pass it up.
My design wall is made from three styrofoam insulation panels, covered with cotton batting.
